I am rather opinionated when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying directly under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, especially mid to high grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a brand or a style or anything else. I judge them for what they are, in terms of quality, function, construction, and style. A watchmakers point of view.

This said I will tell you that this particular watch is what I consider to be a "best kept confidential" sort of watch. This is an AUTOMATIC watch (read: Mechanical - NOT Quartz), and of CHRONOMETER grade function. Chronometer as used here is a measure of accurate timekeeping, not quality - a point often misunderstood - and is used mostly from a marketing point of view by companies such as Rolex. HOWEVER. This movement in THIS watch is actually EXCELLENT in terms of quality, time keeping ability, and structure - easily comparable other Swiss made movements from other famous manufacturers costing several times as much. This brand (Relojes exclusivos and Omega) watch, properly serviced, will provide a lifetime of use - and probably more. Absolutely the sort of watch you pass down to the next generation.

All in all - and EXCELLENT choice - especially for those seeking their first QUALITY Swiss watch purchase.

I just got this watch. It is a stunning piece, well worth the money and for a gold watch by a prestigiousness watch maker not all that pricey compared to what else is out there. The face is very distinctive, and if a classic but unique look is what you are looking for, this is one of them. The face of the watch is a little bit large, so you might want to make sure that is what you want. That is the only thing I had to get used to. This is a great classical dressy timepiece.

Upon receiving the watch, I embraced its fully glory -- truly amazing time piece. TAG Heuer created a watch that has a, nice, sturdy weight to it, an amazingly fluid and precise mechanism and to top it of, comes with one heck of a luxurious box that weighs around 3-4 lbs. Though, there is one caveat: This watch is an automatic. That means wearing it everyday is recommended to keep the mechanism going - that'll mostly stop it from losing time. If it loses more time than you like, setting it back up will only take minutes, if not less. 





If you're in the market for a luxury watch that actually tells time accurately, get this watch. You won't be disappointed; I give my word on that. 


Side note: The watch Amazon deals did not come with papers of authenticity (Amazon doesn't send them for TAGs - at all). That caused some issues for me. Nonetheless, this review is for the watch, and it's wonderful.

I purchased this watch for my son who had wanted this specific watch for quite some time. The watch was priced below any other internet site or retail brick & mortar operation. Being hesitant at first we placed a three way conference call to Amazon and spoke to one of their representatives. After feeling assured of the authenticity of the watch and Amazon's policies, we proceeded to purchase it. Zenith with the Chronomaster Open grande date designed an impressive case for its El Primero mechanism. 
The size fit perfectly on your wrist in compare with others huge IWC or else. 


The bonus is when listening the elprimero 10,000 bits per hours, this sound is just awesome and the cost worth this luxury item. 

The only concern is about the Zenith certificate which is not delivered as Amazon is not an official brand retailer so I don't know how this will work when dealing for maintenance operation.
